What is the best epilator for a brazilian? So you’ve decided that you want to remove the whole shabang with an epilator. Brazilian waxing involves the removal of all hair in the bikini area. You’ve probably already heard that the best way is to have it waxed by a professional, but you want to try an epilator. We got a little laugh when we saw it discussed on Cosmo. Trust us, it’s not as crazy as it sounds. We know that waxing can be expensive and some people may not like the idea of revealing their most private parts in a salon.
We don’t have to remind you that it is going to hurt like crazy because you’ve probably heard that. If it’s your first time check out Charlie210Brown’s experience on YouTube. Before you buy an epilator, pluck a few hairs in the area to judge the level of pain. Only proceed if you believe that you have a high tolerance to pain. We don’t recommend using an epilator for a full brazilian. Practically, using an epilator is better suited for maintaining a brazilian wax.
We’ve conducted many epilator reviews, but it is time to go hunting for the best epilators for a brazilian.
What To Look For When Choosing The Best Epilator For A Brazilian
Nowadays epilators come with multiple speed settings that are better suited for the bikini area. We don’t advise that you use an epilator to remove all the hair in the bikini area, but if you choose this route – you definitely want to choose an epilator with multiple speed settings. Epilating the bikini area hurts because the hair down there grows in different directions and tends to be coarser.
It is advisable to choose a cordless model so that the cord won’t get in the way. Some people find that it is better to get an epilator that can be used in the shower because it can be less painful than dry epilating. The most difficult part is that it is hard to see what is going on and you have to rely on touch. Choosing an epilator with a built-in light could be helpful. The first time is going to be painful because you are pulling out multiple hairs at the same time. With that in mind, you might want to choose an epilator with less tweezers for a brazilian.
Be sure to pull skin tight to make sure the epilator doesn’t grab the delicate skin in the bikini area. Choose an epilator with a smaller head so that it is easier to maneuver. Some epilators feature beneficial trimmer attachments. Hair should be trimmed to at least 1/4-inch. Epilate slowly and carefully in small sections at a time.
The Best Options For Epilators For A Brazilian
Not many people use epilators for a full brazilian. Again, they are generally used for maintenance of a brazillian. However, the models we have chosen have been used by actual people to perform a full brazilian.
Panasonic ES-WD94-P
The Panasonic ES-WD94-P is the newest Panasonic epilator. We recommended the previous model of the Panasonic epilator for a brazilian. It has all of the same features including wet/dry and a cordless design but now features more attachment heads. We like the different attachment heads because they actually switch out instead of just covering the tweezers with caps. There is actually a special attachment head for more sensitive areas, which makes it perfect for a brazilian. One customer found it works like a charm for a brazilian as long as you keep the hair short in the area.
Remington EP6025
The Remington EP6025 offers 42 tweezers and 2 speed settings. It may be used cordlessly. It comes with a special precision epilator head with less tweezers, which can be swapped with a full-sized epilator head. The precision epilator head is perfect for performing a brazilian. Customers said that the key to removing hair from the bikini area is to do it small sections and hold skin taut to keep it from pinching the skin. M. Katasonova purchased it because it had a small attachment for the bikini and facial area. Joan Garcia was amazed that it left her extra smooth and found the results to be better than waxing.
Lethikim used it for a Brazilian and thought it was great. She recommends that you sit in front of a mirror and use a pillow to lift you up. She rotated the head in the opposite direction of the hair growth. She found that the shape of the epilator head helped her get even the most difficult hairs. Aglaya believed it worked well in the bikini area but didn’t like that it took an hour to remove all the hair. J. Lee got her first brazilian and was tired of tweezing and waxing the area for maintenance. After overcoming her initial fear, she was able to remove the regrowth in the area in 10 minutes. She says maintaining the area is a dream with this epilator. She recommends that people go this route instead of beginning with an epilator. Melissa Nelms didn’t like how it worked in the bikini area and thought maybe her hair was too long. For her it left the area swollen with ingrown hairs.
Panasonic ES-WD51-P
The Panasonic ES-WD51-P features a smaller body and cordless design, making it a good choice for performing a brazilian. It’s got a handy bikini trimmer and can be used in the shower. Customers stated that they prefer the gentle cap for the bikini area. LALady bought this epilator specifically to replace brazilian waxes. She describes the pain to be about the same but the process is drawn out longer. She had a hard time getting all the hair out but says it’s great for touchups.
Melanie Powell used this to epilate her bikini area for the first time. She had to epilate the region over a period of a few days. After a week, she loved that the region was hairless. S.A. “bham” said the hardest part was she couldn’t see what was going on. While most users successfully used it in the bikini area, Melissa P tried it on her bikini line and said it tore the hair instead of pulling it out at the root. Some users complained that the head was a bit too big for the bikini area.
Emjoi Soft Caress Cordless Hair Remover
Featuring 24 tweezers and 2 speeds, the Emjoi Soft Caress is supposed to reduce pain. Its somewhat compact size makes it a great option for performing a full brazilian. A. Martin gave herself a Brazilian with it and loved it. She said that it is painful at first but gets better over time. Kathie has been through 4 epilators. She was impressed that when she did her bikini area, she was left irritation-free unlike the other epilators she had tried before. Heather seemed to echo her sentiment – saying after the initial fear, it was less painful than waxing. Jes noted the pain is something she could get used to.
L.A. Rosenbrook said that using this epilator on the bikini area is more painful than on the legs. Similarly, Sharon said it isn’t painless in the intimate areas. Chris also tried it on her intimate area and said it was manageable on the top portion of the area while the pain was too much on the lower region. While most people found the Emjoi Soft Caress effective on the bikini area, a few people felt that its curved shape made it difficult to maneuver in the area.
I would recommend the Panasonic as well. I did a full..and I mean full hollywood. I actually used the normal head and did it with foam. You have to be very careful but the pivoting head seems to make all the difference. Forget the actual bikini attachment this is absolutely no good.
Hi Jules. Thanks for for the comment. Which Panasonic model did you use?
I always used an epilator for legs and underarms so decided to buy a ‘bikini’ epilator…it was awful! Apart from not maintaining its charge it was also very painful to use. I actually now just use my Braun Silk Epil which I’ve had for years. I just replace the full head with the ‘starter’ head which has less tweezers and the two roller guard…then I do everything with that…it works fantastically and really not that painful as long as it is done with quick and short bursts.
Hi Helen. Thanks for the comment sweetie. Do you remember which was the bikini epilator you used? You are right, the bikini area can be super painful so it is best to do a little at a time or get it waxed first. It is a lot easier to maintain the results with an epilator.
In how much time does the hair regrow?
Are the new grown hair hard, I mean same as the hair that grows back after the shave?
Please reply Asap.
Hi Kiara! Thanks for the reply. Sorry I have been away. The hair grows back lighter than shaving since you are not cutting it off at an angle. See this post about why shaving results in princkly regrowth: http://www.epilatorcentral.com/does-shaving-make-hair-thicker/http://www.epilatorcentral.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.php#comments-form
